Meeting with Marie Eve Gardère This volume aims to explore the roots of the birth of psychodrama, starting from its original formulation by Jacob Levi Moreno and considering the approach of Marie Eve Gardère. It is a group practice where the individual has the opportunity to process suggestions, experience their own feelings on an emotional, cathartic, cognitive level, but also analytically, relationally, and creatively. Psychodrama originates on the side of existence, almost a rebellion against the world on the side of action. The repressive aspect, which for Moreno seems to be the cause and, in some way, the origin, is interesting. By traversing his experience, one arrives at the neo-Freudian matrix of psychodrama. Psychodrama derives its originality from play, spontaneity, and analysis oriented towards the group. Like in a theater but without a set, costumes, or script, moments of self are played out, two or three things deeply connected to the body and the unconscious, arising there unbeknownst to the protagonists, one might say without them realizing it. The entire plot is set against the backdrop of two encounters: on one side, the author with psychodrama, which has integrated her training and work orientation, and on the other, the meeting with Marie Eve Gardère, a psychologist-psychotherapist who highlighted the flexibility of psychodrama, its adaptability to different social and professional situations. The book weaves together technique, theory, narrative, image, and poetry. It synthesizes the analytical work that moves from theory to practice. It proposes itself as a valid theoretical and practical reference thanks to the methodical transmission of analytical knowledge on psychodrama in group experience, weaving a reciprocity of relationships over time. In the final part of the text, it was possible to include some interviews conducted by Marie Eve Gardère with contemporary witnesses in the multidisciplinary nature of their knowledge.
