The book presents the fundamentals of transgenerational theory; the Author has provided evidence of the in-depth study that, over the course of fifteen years, was necessary to demonstrate the scientific and clinical validity of this theory. The intellectual and professional commitment was multidisciplinary and open to the specificities of the fields of investigation. The connection is psychoanalytic, the only one capable of justifying an integrated model of analysis that is not confined to the rigidity of many individual paradigms and, more importantly, capable of broadening the horizons of predictability, which is so necessary today for sociology, politics, history, and culture, in a word, for the destiny of civilization. Thanks to this book, rich in clinical stories, the reader will be able to approach the complexity of life.
The Anthology is introduced by a Reading Guide, through which the reader can navigate the different contexts of investigation and reconstruct, with each reading, what has been gained in their progress. The purpose is not synoptic, summarizing, because this would diminish the pleasure of reading, but rather panoptic, offering a comprehensive vision of transgenerational theory, whose outcomes have been developed and deepened by the Author in his most recent works such as, “Inheritance,” “The Appearance of Eminent Figures,” and “The Legal Status of the Psychoanalyst's Activity.”

Roberto Cheloni è psicoanalista; dall’analisi con Elvio Fachinelli ha guadagnato un eclettismo teorico, che ne sottolinea la cifra personale. Plurilaureato, ha svolto nel tempo incarichi presso varie Università. Le sue numerosissime pubblicazioni ricoprono un’area di interessi oltre che dalla Psicoanalisi, che vanno dalla linguistica alla filosofia, fino alla Teoria generale del Diritto.
