The volume collects the Proceedings of the Conference Psychoanalysis and Care: Subjects, Intersubjectivity, and New Bonds, organized in collaboration by OPIFeR and the Erich Fromm Institute of Neofreudian Psychoanalysis, held in Bologna on July 3, 2022. The theme is extremely relevant, especially in light of the social and cultural transformations we are experiencing, and holds particular interest for psychoanalysis in its most recent theoretical, clinical, and educational perspectives. The intersubjective matrix constantly and indissolubly involves the existence of subjects, whose understanding necessarily implies paying attention to the evolution, on multiple levels, of the relational contexts in which they are inserted. Bonds, therefore, represent forces, imperceptible to the naked eye, determining the very quality of individuals' lives. Psychoanalysis, as an essentially living and relational discipline, has the task of capturing and studying these forces, in order to attribute meaning to human experience, particularly concerning psychic suffering and its possibilities for care. In this sense, psychoanalysis can be defined as "a new bond that heals."

Francesca Battaglia è psicologa, psicoterapeuta e psicoanalista associato OPIFER e membro dell’IFPS (International Federation of Psychoanalytic Societies). Fa parte del consiglio direttivo ed è docente, supervisione e analista didatta dell’Istituto Erich Fromm di Psicoanalisi Neofreudiana di Bologna. È socia dell’Associazione EMDR e psicoterapeuta EMDR I livello e docente presso l’Osservatorio Nazionale Sportivo. Ha collaborato per anni con il Servizio di Day Hospital dell‘Unità Operativa di Neuropsichiatria Infantile e Centro sui Disturbi del Comportamento Alimentare in età Evolutiva dell‘Azienda Sant‘Orsola-Malpighi, con enti territoriali e un centro di clinica dell’infanzia.
