**For a Permanent Laboratory | Preface by Luciana La Stella** The title of the book refers to a content/container of highly stressful events related to the pandemic and its repercussions on society and individuals. The accounts contained here evoke, in a narrative sequence, the collective observation and reflection on the challenges that this complex reality has posed and continues to pose to patients and psychotherapists, and inevitably on the theoretical-clinical repercussions in psychoanalysis in the intersubjective-constructivist turn. The defining aspect is represented by the multi-voiced weaving that, at different levels and with subjective positions, outlines a co-narration in which knowledge and personal and professional experiences intertwine. The responsibility for the psychophysical care of people subjected to unforeseen and decidedly disturbing events has guided the actions of SITPA members, who have continued to practice their profession in various fields, also using unusual settings. The further upheavals (energy, economic, war crises, etc.) that accompanied Covid-19 have exacerbated the "fatigue of living" that certainly did not spare health professionals themselves immersed in this tsunami. The Permanent Laboratory and the Intervisions have represented welcoming, respectful contexts where one can "be" and feel the disturbance while simultaneously monitoring therapeutic steps and the repositioning of the internal setup. With generosity, in this text, professional and personal experiences merge into a narrative plot set against the backdrop of "dark" years, which also bring with them dissociative/traumatic aspects.
