The Art in Eating Disorders
Umberto Nizzoli and Maria Grazia Giannini (edited by)
Eating disorders and body image issues are the new social and health emergencies caused by the constant exposure to the pursuit of everyday aestheticization driven by the market.
There is a need for a new perspective, both profound and symbolic. Art and imagination engage with science to offer a creative opening capable of sparking change in the minds and hearts of professionals and patients, families, and local communities.
The contents of this book can be allies in finding new ways to know, understand, and prevent.
