Description

Preface by Luciana La Stella

How can life, consciousness, freedom, and the soul emerge from matter? How far can science help us address, if not solve, these questions? And what can help us beyond science? How do people today coexist with these enigmas? Are they still at the center of their interests? Or, by prioritizing the pressing goals of modern life, have they set them aside as inconclusive puzzles? And with what consequences?

These are themes of permanent relevance that involve the relationships between the spiritual sphere and the temporal sphere, between religion and politics, between art and science. Every person, according to their nature, finds their own place in these fields of mysteries, even when they confidently declare themselves agnostic.

The modern person sees reality only as a world of visible and tangible bodies and rejects or forgets the invisible and intangible overworld, which the culture they come from considered the true principle of existence.

In the pages of the book, the reader may perhaps find what the great thinkers of the past still teach us on these subjects and what we might probably learn from new scientific knowledge.

**Preface by *Luciana La Stella*** How can life, consciousness, freedom, the soul emerge from matter? How far can science help us address, if not solve, these questions? And what can help us beyond science? How do people today coexist with these enigmas? Are they still at the center of their interests? Or, by prioritizing the pressing goals of modern life, have they set them aside as inconclusive puzzles? And with what consequences? These are themes of permanent relevance that affect the relationships between the sphere of the spirit and the temporal sphere, between religion and politics, between art and science. Every person, according to their nature, finds their own place in these fields of mysteries, even when they declare themselves agnostic with conviction. The modern man sees reality only as a world of visible and tangible bodies and rejects or forgets the invisible and intangible overworld, which the culture from which he comes considered the true principle of existence.
