Ermanno Paleari è studioso di storia dell’arte. Laureato in Lettere con indirizzo storico-artistico, ha insegnato Storia dell’arte presso il Liceo classico “Berchet” di Milano e ha predisposto corsi specialistici di dispense per l’Università. I suoi interessi di ricerca riguardano in particolare l’arte e l’architettura italiane tra Rinascimento e Barocco, con attenzione al rapporto tra spazio, immagine e contesto storico-culturale. Questo volume raccoglie e sviluppa alcune delle linee principali della sua attività di studio.
