During the twenty-first century, the wonders of technology allow an elderly writer, Sean Knightage, to immerse himself in his own imagination. During a long sleep, he has the opportunity to create—or perhaps discover—the universe of dreams. He names this ancient cosmos *Somno Veritas* and immediately understands that he has found the way to the Hyperuranion that Plato spoke of.
