Description

What a Bipolar Person Hides but You Should Know

Authentic and heartfelt pages, where the author and protagonist reconstructs her life to show how bipolar disorder progressively manifested, transformed, and intertwined with her personal, emotional, and professional story.

Emotional instability indeed has deep roots, which the narrative unveils by following the traces of a past marked, since childhood, by physical and psychological fragility, unspoken traumas, and relationships based more on emotional dependency than on love.

Valentina shares her story without filters, overcoming any reluctance and challenging the idea of "normality."

*Inside, Outside a Nightmare* is the true story of Valentina. Unfiltered. It opens with an explosion: anger, instability, guilt. Then it goes back to the beginning. A fragile childhood between hospitals and panic attacks, a trauma kept silent at twelve. An adolescence where she has to grow up too fast, between an unreliable father, a foreclosed home, and a toxic relationship with Apollo that leads to her first encounter with psychiatry. At twenty, the symptoms have a name: bipolar disorder. Extreme mood swings, paranoia, isolation. Diagnosis, interrupted medications, relapses. Then Giulio, the idealized man who turns violent. A second abortion, job loss, debts from compulsive shopping. A year spent at home: "the great depression." Until Alessandro, stable love. Marriage. A second diagnosis, ADHD, which finally makes sense of the chaos. Eating disorders, friendships, a fragile family. In these pages, Valentina does not seek "normality." She dismantles it. And with a final informative section, she turns her story into a tool for everyone: to truly understand what it means to live with bipolar disorder, emotional dependency, and abusive relationships. A necessary autobiography. Raw, clear, human.
